She wakes me up at the crack of dawn on the weekends, even though I wanna sleep in.

She eats my last bite of food, even though we all know the last bite is the best.

She makes me dance with her to the entire Princess & The Frog soundtrack. Every. Single. time

She walks right past her dad watching tv on the couch and asks me to do something, even though I’m at the computer working.

She purposely starts a conversation with me the second I get on the phone. Every time.

This child does everything in her power to annoy her mama… but with the cutest smile on her face so I can’t even be mad 😭 Because that’s my baby, and ima stick beside her 😅😂

Seriously though, these kids are NOT that oblivious lol. Who do they do us like this?!

What you see here is my miso glazed sea bass over a bed of roasted broccolini and peppers… a dish that will literally make your eyes roll to the back of your head.

I’ve been recipe testing for the last couple months and ummm, I’ve blown my own damn mind. Y’all know how amazing my cookbooks are, I don’t even have to go down that road 😌

And y’all… it was kinda hard lol. I don’t know why I felt so crazy like I was talking to myself, and I swear I said “Hell y’all , welcome to my channel” 137 times 😭😂 Anyway, do me a favor and go check it out! I’m getting more used to doing long form video content, so I’m going to be consistent with YouTube and not let fear of the unknown hold me back anymore.

After 3 weeks, I finally get to see this smiling face tomorrow!!! I don’t think I’ve ever been happier 😭

I’m at work right now so distracted because I keep sneaking and looking at videos of Sanai. Swipe left to see her living her best City Girl life with almost no rhythm, but the most beautiful smile in the world 😍😂

Where do these suburban kids come from? Sis should have been able to catch that beat 😭😅

Richard and I have been together for 7 years, parenting together for almost 5 years and married for just under 6 months. ⁣Here are 5 things I do as a new wife that I vow to do until I’m old and gray.⁣

1. 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝. Whether I plan a night on the town, or make a fancy dinner at home, we will have a date at least once a week. This one is a no brainer, so I won’t explain any further.⁣
⁣
2. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝. Whether big compliments like “babe, thank you for all that you do. I couldn’t operate at this level without you as my partner.” Or everyday compliments like “babe your arms are still my favorite body part 😻” (he’s a bodybuilder so body compliments are the key for him lol).⁣ Women aren’t the only ones that want to feel seen. Compliment your man, too!

3. 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝. I’m not gonna lie, with all I have going on, ya girl be tired lol. But I’ve made a commitment to keep a healthy sex life with my husband. Btw, what frequency do you consider to be “healthy” with two working spouses with kid(s)?⁣ 👀

4. 𝐁𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬. This used to be something I struggled with because I was against merging finances until we were officially and legally married. Now that we are, discussing + merging our finances has come much more naturally for me. ⁣It’s also somehow developed a deeper sense of trust and (nonsexual) intimacy with us.

5. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬… and if you know me, then you KNOW this is a huge deal. If I’m right (which is often), then dammit I’m right 🤷🏾‍♀️ But I’ve learned to just shut up sometimes and let him think he’s right. Heavy on the SOMETIMES bc God ain’t through with me yet 😅
