Liebster Award Nomination

Hey world!

So, guess what? Not even a month into blogging, and I got nominated for the Liebster award, how cool! The Liebster Award is an award given to new bloggers by other bloggers in order to gain more exposure on the internet. The first award was given back in 2011 and has become increasingly more popular in the blogging community. Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. I know, that’s a lot of definitions, but I think I fall somewhere in there 🙂 Anyway, I actually just learned about this award from a blogging Facebook Group that I joined a couple of weeks ago. I was nominated by Brea from itsbreastewart.com and I’m actually quite honored that she liked my blog enough to nominate me! As a part of my nomination, I have to answer 5 questions that Brea has asked, which I think you all may want to know the answers as well.

But a little bit about Brea: she started a student nurse and lifestyle blog, and she has some really cool blog entries. She not only talks about her journey through nursing school and the process of becoming a registered nurse, but she blogs about products she likes, her vegetarian journey and how it did (or didn’t) work for her, and a number of other things!. You’ll have to go check out her blog to learn more. I think you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.

Here are the questions she asked:

1. Why did you decide to start blogging?

I decided to start blogging because I knew that I had so many thoughts and passions that I wanted to share with the world. I often post on my social media accounts about so many different topics ranging from food & wine, to motherhood, to health & beauty, to fitness, and many other topics. I always engage with my friends on my other social media accounts and I thought it would be best to house everything in one location- kind of like a one stop shop. I’m a naturally expressive person, so blogging was always a passion of mine that I wanted to pursue. I finally decided the take the leap and now, here I am. In just a little under two weeks, my blog has been so well received by my family and friends and I’m so grateful for what’s next.

2. What life event has influenced you to become the person you are today?

Motherhood has completely changed my entire life. It was, by far, the most amazing and surreal experience of my life. I see a lot of great things in my future, but I’m certain nothing will top the day that my princess came into this world. Sanai has showed me that I have super powers and there is nothing in this world that I can’t do. My life has a new meaning and purpose now that I have a little human to look after. Every single second of every single day, I’m striving to provide the absolute best for my daughter.

3. What is your absolute favorite food?

Sushi. Easy!

4. Describe the 1 piece of clothing that you can’t live without!

Leggings! No mater what season, a good pair of leggings is always going to be one of my go to’s. They are multi purpose and you can wear them almost anywhere… almost lol. You can dress them up or down, they are super comfortable, and very flattering. I love a good pair of leggings!

5. What is a fun fact about you that not many people know?

I’m obsessed with Harry Potter. By obsessed I mean, I own all 7 books and all 8 movies (Book 7 was broken down into 2 movies). I went to the Harry Potter theme park in Orlando on opening day and I’ve been back twice since. The longest it took me to read one of the books was 2 days…and that’s only because I had a test to study for in between. All of the other 6 books, I finished reading it on the day that I started. I know that’s kind of nerdy, but I don’t care. J.K. Rowling is legend!

Last but not least, my favorite blog. This was very hard, as I really do love so many different blogs. From lifestyle, to beauty, fashion, food, and home décor. I have to go with misslizheart.com because she literally encompasses it all. I am a bit biased because I am a huge Youtube watcher and Miss Liz Heart is one of my top 5 Youtubers. I watch all of her videos and if I ever need more detail, I can find everything on her blog. Her page is so pretty and dainty, but still so approachable. Her home décor is amazing and she makes the most delicious meals all the time! I feel like our personalities are so opposite, which is another reason I think I’m drawn to her blog as much as I am.
