2021 Daniel Fast Complete ✔️

Every January, I do the Daniel Fast to get my year off to the right start and to gain mental and spiritual clarity. 21 days of NO animal products (meat or dairy), NO alcohol, NO coffee or tea, NO processed foods, NO sweets (cookies, candy, etc), NO white foods (i.e., sugar, bread, pasta). Would you believe me if I tell you I never felt deprived? Okay, there were a few days I really wanted a cup of coffee, but that’s about it.

I feel amazing. I feel rejuvenated, level headed, at peace, and ready to conquer the world. During these 21 days, I:

• Prayed everyday and drew closer to God.

• Started journaling to write out my feelings and really sit with my thoughts.

• Launched an incredibly resourceful pitching ebook that sold over 200 copies and is already getting influencers paid the money they want.

• Completely rebranded Cup of Consuella- more on that tomorrow 😬

• Joined forces with my blogger bestie @herlifesparkles to create The Influencer Lounge, a resource for influencers wanting to build their brands and monetize their influence.

• Met my monthly income goal with 6 days left in the month.

2021 is gonna be a hell of a year, and I mean that in the best way possible. Let me know in the comments if you’re on the same wave!

In 2008, I was blessed to watch Barack Obama be the first black man elected as president of the United States. Today, my daughter gets to watch the first woman of color be elected as Vice President of the United States. What a time to be Black. ⁣

While there is still so much work to be done, there is still something to be grateful for. A black woman is in the White House. And I heard she’s being escorted in by Howard University’s drumline 👀 That’s probably not the case, but it would be lit if it is 🔥 ⁣

If this inauguration has done anything for me, it’s inspired me to challenge the status quo. To shatter glass ceilings. To take up space. To MAKE my voice be heard. ⁣

Let’s have cheeseburger eggrolls... but make them #vegan 😋🌱[AD]

Being on the Daniel Fast has me experimenting with some delicious plant based alternatives to meat. When I discovered @meatlessfarm’s #MeatFree ground, I wanted to do a twist on a classic dish. I wanted a cheeseburger, but I also wanted egg rolls, so why not make both? Cheeseburger Eggrolls it is! *chefs kiss*

This meat free ground has the texture and mouth feel of traditional ground beef, but is made sustainably with the power of plants! #MeatFreeNotTasteFree I love that it is packed with protein, a good source of fiber and super versatile.
